Cross Stock Analysis (study case from AAPL, RIMM, and PALM)
Today (last night, GMT+7 here) Apple Inc confirmed the long held rumors about iPhone (which indeed will share the same name as Linksys iPhone). My first impression is WOW. Although the feature isn’t innovative and been around for a while, details on UI and design is what makes Apple different from other manufacturers. However, I’m not going to talk about that, in this post we will see how AAPL announcements affect other phone-related stock, in this case RIMM and PALM.

If you look at the chart above, RIMM and PALM diverge from AAPL the moment they announce (confirm) the iPhone. Why? Because this means that there will be more competition for both of the company. To add to that, what makes RIMM addictive is that people can write, send, and receive emails without hassle. In the other hand however, iPhone promised the same thing. And since it comes from Apple, the company known for its innovation in technology, user interface, and ease-of-use, of course it will have a big impact on RIMM. To add to that, Yahoo also promised iPhone user a free IMAP push email service — only without the exchange server — for free! Enough blow dealt to blackberry phone line for sure.
And why PALM? The producers of popular Treo line already abandoned its software development and migrate completely to Windows Mobile. Since Treo is one of the most popular smartphone/PDA phone brand in the US (along with O2 and other Dopod derivatives), the slickness of iPhone in terms of design and the power of full-sized Mac OS X on Apple’s device is enough to sold their customers to consider buying Apple’s product.
Another nice move by Apple (and a blow for PALM) is that Apple already has its own computing platform (which is gaining momentum in the last couple of years — in fact, I just switched!) ranging from iMac (desktop computing), Macbook (laptop line), Mac mini (home entertainment line), iPod (duh, it’s probably the most popular gadget of all time) will open a way and make it easy for iPhone to gain those same momentum. This mean that there will be more switchers to Apple computing platform AND iPhone (because simply, all previous Apple owner would want a piece of this new device).
The same thing also happened with other phone manufacturer that took such a storm by this announcement.
This indicates that fundamental analysis is not dead yet and going strong. There is such thing as cross stock analysis (not just cross sectoral analysis). For example, KO and PEP will not move on the same pattern because both of those stock. More concept on my next post about cross stock and what you should look in finding those pattern.

PS: if you bought the options this morning when Steve is still announcing AppleTV which is not as compelling as its counter part, you will probably gain more than 600% on today only. Not to mention that now AAPL stock is gaining momentum amid the stock options backdating crisis.
On another note, The search engine optimization is the new door for the new online businesses and for such businesses different new technologies are needed. Among them is the wireless internet that provides the access of internet anywhere. For seo the useful software is demanded in order to keep the business information and secrecy at top level. The seo business provides cheap web hosting services that enable the new comers to promote their businesses. The seo business need affiliate marketing in which an affiliate commission is provided to the company. This affiliate marketing is the cheap way of marketing their goods and services. Above all, these aren’t the only few things, rather internet network marketing needs a long deep issues that must be keep in mind.

[...] Okay, if you have travelled around the blogosphere yesterday, you could have seen a number of posts about the iPhone that is about to come out from Apple. Various rants include the iPhone has no keypad, it has a touchscreen, . And others express their unwavering desire to own one. And those at the Keynote dwell on the fact that the iPhone stole the show. I sympathize with the developers of the ModBook though, after all, we just recieved the ultimate cellphone. And if the developers of the ModBook can’t honestly say that they would wait hours in line to make sure they had the first one in their area, we know they are lying. We have Blackberry addicts joining the fray and Apple’s stock climbing. [...]
