Debunking the Bear Case

SeekingAlpha has an interesting post about what is actually made the oil price lower than it used to be a week ago. This includes the debunking of some ‘mainstream’ theories and promoting a new theories otherwise. It’s an interesting read overall.

Lessons from 26 - 29 September Trading

Okay, I think I got into a deep loss on my practice trading account on 26 - 29 Sept phase. Here’s the positions that flunked:

GE. I put a buy call and buy put on this stock and the result is +$0.10/share on my call and -$0.15 on my put. LESSON: make sure that the stock [...]

29 September 2006 US Trade

I can’t resist to short GOOG at this point. Their RSI and MACD already showed overbought and they are currently close to their recent high. So I think it will go back down shortly. Yes they are currently on up trend but still, the chart told me so:

What do you think? Is my simple analysis [...]

Some Thoughts for September 28th 2006

Okay, our buy put options (or short selling positions for you who hold it?) is going very green. Today AMD opened $0.34 lower. I think they closed $0.6-something lower yesterday, I have to check my account for that. Don’t cover your position just yet, I think it can go down more than $4 next week [...]

27 September 2006 US Trade

Okay, I can’t resist the temptation. AMD chart is really sweet. I entered a Buy Put with strike price at 27.5. Ok ok, the stock is currently still on a minor rally (as the time of this writing (+$0.38), but it’s already on the overbought region. Just look at the chart below:

No Trading Ideas

I have no trading ideas today. I got some signals from RIMM that is probably ready to break its new high (especially their earning announcement is due on Thursday) but still… this stock is already enjoying a good long run.
And Dow Jones is near its all time high so we traders better be careful. Sit [...]

NASDAQ Rebound Candidates

Forbes doesn’t usually issue an article like this (so it’s worth to read!). Behold! The list of Nasdaq Rebound Candidates. I’m going to have my eyes peeled on them.

Review 26 September 2006 US Trading

Okay, I got $20 richer (duh!) from GE’s options. The MSCC shares that I bought yesterday failed to break through its support level so I think this stock has ended its downward movement and probably in a reversal point.
On the other hand, my Buy put contract on GE is suffering a heavy damage (another $20) [...]

26 September 2006 US Trade

Okay, I think my friend is right. Although MSCC is on downward spiral and the fundamentals are not good, the technical shows the opposite. A very big volume on yesterday. I’m buying it at 19.63 (after liquidating my previous short position on 19.71). note: after buying it, the stock continues its free fall to 19.60. [...]

Trading Review September 26th Indonesia Market

Earlier this morning I bought RALS, it’s one of the biggest Indonesia retail store. There’s no technical analysis behind it except that the stock already fall quite sharply from the last high and, from my observation, already consolidating on a new support line. The main reason for me on buying this stock is that their [...]
