Going to Indosat and McKinsey
I’m currently at Cirebon at the moment and as usual, there’s nothing fun to do (most of my Friends aren’t at this city anymore). So I decided to post some past activities that I haven’t have the chance to post ranging from a company visit to McKinsey and Indosat on June 19th to my project on an entrepreneurship seminar on February 18th 2006 (yeah I know, it’s quite old). So here it goes, the first post of the series, my company visit to Indosat and McKinsey!
This semester I took strategic management seminar which was lectured by one of Indosat’s commissioner, Mr Setyanto. At the end of the class he ordered us to arrange a company visit to his company. The organizing committee is set and the chief is choosen. But then, mishaps happens (just as it will usually happens on any event organisation). The elected chief takes too much time to coordinate the staff and in the end, the committee take no action whatsoever on preparing the visit which can lead into something more disastrous (you don’t want to upset a commissioner from a major corporation would you?).
The staff then gathered a meeting to elect a new organizing committee president. At that time, no one wanted to be the chief of the committee because the event is only two weeks away. As usual, I was then elected as a scapegoat, er… I mean, as the chief simply because I already handled a similiar situation before on last year’s company visit in which I was the president.
There’s nothing special that I’ve done to make things workout because the staff is really extraordinary. We have 6 people (including me on the staff) that is familiar with this kind of work. There’s a distro entrepreneur, a person that’s running for student body president this year, a project officer of our department’s student body, and so much more expertise behind them. (photos after the jump)
In the end, we pulled a success by visiting Indosat and McKinsey (yes you heard it right). In Indosat, we are greeted by a beautiful VP of communications of their, Ms. Adita (her picture isn’t on my camera, god damnit!). Well here’s some screenshot from the show:

The Director of McKinsey Indonesia. He’s the only Associate Partner of McKinsey from Indonesia (blurry image, he moves and talks like there’s no tomorrow)

The network control room of Indosat (hey, there’s a MetroTV there! I think that they are currently discussing what kinds of lingerie model’s are in for this summer)

We had so much fun and it’s all thanks to Mr Haryanto from McKinsey Indonesia and Mr Mardi, Mbak Jessie, and Ms Adita from Indosat (oh and don’t forget, thank you to Mr. Setyanto that makes all this happens).

wah lagi di cirebon Oz? aku baru aja pulang 3 minggu yang lalu =)
