How to Be Silicon Valley
I just discovered an interesting short-essay by Paul Graham about how government around the world is trying to build their version of Silicon Valley. It then struck me that in Indonesia, Budi Rahardjo is trying to do the same thing by trying to transform Cimahi into Indonesia’s version of SV (the plan hasn’t work too well I think). He thinks that no one can build a Silicon Valley (or its derivatives). One can only grow it because it is a perfect ingredients between talents and money.
