an Intel-based iBook on January
My first reaction, NOOOO! I have just bought a new iBook and now Apple’s decision accelerate the release of their MacOSX on Intel renders my purchase as a lousy investment action (others might think otherwise, but that’s my personal point-of-view). It gets me wonder, why do they pushed the release date so early on the schedule?
Is this another miraculous hand of Steve Jobs to squeze life out of his worker? Or is it mainly based on financial projection that it’s better to fasten the release date rather than waiting for the scheduled one? I hope it goes with the second one. I hope that their action to hasten the release is based on the financial fact.
With the announcement of the new OS models atop of a new platform, the sales of Apple’s computer division is declining. Everyone is eagerly awaits the new version of the software and postpone their buying plan.
Don’t want to loose the momentum and to minimize the potential lost of this customers, Apple then fasten up their release date. I think I’ll wait before fulfilling my lust for more Apple hardware (such as the Mac Mini) and wait for the Intel release date and lust further for Apple’s insight on design.
